Globetrotter Makes Shot From Almost 110 Feet Away

Harlem Globetrotters rookie “Thunder Law” drilled a shot from 109 feet 9 inches at U.S. Airways arena in Phoenix to set a new Guinness World Records record for longest basketball shot.

Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves set a previous world record during a taping of “Sports Science” when he made a 90-footer.

According to the show, Love’s shot launched at 40 degree angle and reached the basket at 24 mph. At the basket, the ball had a miss margin of .0027 percent.

It was his 98th attempt and Love said that was going to be his last shot, no matter the production for the show.

Here’s the video. The good stuff starts at the 8:10 mark.
