Drivers can’t help but notice a stretch of American flags along Wall Street in north Moorhead.
Neatly spaced apart and large enough to catch your eye rounding a small bend, setting these 10 flags were a Fourth of July project on the property of Rick Heintzman and Tina Jensen.
I drive along Wall Street from time to time and noticed Heintzman out working on a pickup truck that was raised on a lift Tuesday afternoon, a day before Veterans Day.
He said he got the idea last winter to raise the flags.
His reason was simple.
“Why not,” Heintzman said. “I have the room.”
Heitzman said people sometimes pull in and talk to him about the flags.
“It’s been very positive.”
